Gift Guide: Uncommon Goods

I love writing a good gift guide and I have done a fair few over time on my blog, I always have someone's Birthday I need to shop for or sometimes I like to just a buy someone a little something. I have partnered up with Uncommon Goods who have something for everyone with their beautiful unique handmade gifts.

Uncommon Goods is an online marketplace created by Dave Bolotsky for makers and their crafts where they can connect with individuals looking for those special, unique pieces no matter where they are. You can also learn a little bit about the creator when you click on the product which I think is a nice touch.

Another thing I wanted to touch on are the causes that Uncommon Goods support. They have a program called "Better to Give" where with every purchase you make they donate $1 to a Better to Give partner of your choice. Since starting this program in 2001 they have donated over $1,000,000 which is amazing!

So now onto the Gift Guide, with a whole range of gifts no matter who you're shopping for...

Birth Month Flower Necklace
First up are these Birth Flower Necklaces which I think are such a lovely gift idea, it adds a personal touch. They are handmade in New York using dried pressed flowers with a sterling silver chain, you can also get matching earrings.

Custom What Big Sister Does Best Book
This is a gift for the little ones, it's such a sweet idea, especially as a new baby can cause worry and jealousy, but this little book will help them to see how they can be a great big sister. Their name appears on the cover and throughout the book, which would make any little girl happy. There are so many more personalised gift ideas over on Uncommon Goods.

Good Friends Are Like Stars Necklace
This is a beautiful piece of jewellery, perfect for your best friend,  it has an etched quote on sterling silver, a rock crystal, and a gold charm. It is on the slightly more pricey side, however, again it is handmade and I think it is totally worth it for that special friend. I found it so difficult choosing as there are so many lovely gifts for a friend on their website.

Literary Candles
Who doesn't love a candle? I certainly do, and these scented candles come in cute jars that look like jam jars. The names of these candles are based on the locations in classic books, we have; 'A Mad Tea Party' from Alice in Wonderland, '221B Baker Street' from Sherlock Holmes, 'Pemberley' from Pride and Prejudice and finally 'Thornfield Garden from Jane Eyre. They are sold individually and would make an ideal gift for the bookworm who loves candles.

Four Seasons Necklace
A gorgeous collection of necklaces with charms on to represent the season. The charms are on an 18-carat gold vermeil or sterling silver chain. This would make a perfect gift for a loved one that comes handmade all the way from Hawaii. Maybe if you're a guy looking for a gift for your girlfriend.

These are a few of my finds from Uncommon Goods, there are hundreds of unique gifts to choose from. When you next need to buy someone special a gift be sure to check out Uncommon Goods!
