With Mother's Day coming up on Sunday 26th March (this Sunday!) I thought I'd come up with some suggestions of what to do and gifts to buy. I love Mother's Day, I really like to spoil my mum with gifts and treats, like my mum likes my homemade bakes so I try and bake a cake I know she likes. I've been browsing the internet for ideas for Mother's Day, so if you're a bit stuck for what to get your mum or maybe you want some extra ideas, then carry on reading!
For me Mother's Day is all about pampering, to make my mum feel calm and relaxed. A good thing to do with your mum would be a Spa Experience, book a weekend away at a posh spa for your mum and yourself, or book one or two treatments. You don't have to spend a lot of money, you could stay at home and create your own spa with some face masks and some other treatments. It's about spending quality time with your mum and having fun.
Breakfast in bed is a good one, so many people do this for their mum! I cook my mum breakfast and we sit together having our breakfast - it's a lovely start to the day, I keep it simple though, that's what my mum likes. I give her a menu of what to choose from and then I get the right 'ingredients' and cook it for her.
As I mentioned earlier I like to bake my mum her fave treat, try baking something for your mum even if baking is not your strong point it's the thought that counts, right?! Plus it's a perfect idea if you've left things until the last minute, quickly whip something up in the kitchen!
