Beauty Haul

It's been a while, hasn't it? I have really missed posting, there have been times when I've thought 'Oh I should blog about this' or if I've bought some things I've thought it would make a good blog post, but my heart just wasn't in it and I want to be 100% into writing a post. Anyway, I'm here now with a beauty haul for you, so we'll get straight into it...

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Eyeshadow £4.99

I stopped using this last Winter and months later when I was rifling through my makeup collection I found the little pot of it a little dried up, so I went out a bought a new one. This is a really pretty shimmery pink cream shadow, it looks lovely on its own or with other eyeshadows creating more of an eye look. I really want to try the other shades in the range.

Clinique Eyeliner

This wasn't a purchase, I got given it when I went to a Clinique counter to get a foundation match and the lady gave me free full-size eyeliner. I don't normally rate felt tip eyeliners as they tend to dry up, but I am hoping a more high-end one will be different.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation £9.99

Another repurchase for me, I wear this foundation if I want something a bit more full coverage than a BB cream which is what I normally use. I like this if I'm wanting a semi-matte finish and it seems to have become my go-to high street foundation.

Vaseline Lip Balm £2.09

I am a lover of lip balms and I like to try different ones and so I purchased this Strawberry scented lip balm with a pink tint, it smells lovely and I needed a lip balm so hopefully, this will do the job and sooth my dry lips.

Nail Varnishes

A friend of mine painted my nails a while ago and I loved the colours she used, so what did I do? I went out bought the exact same colours she used on my nails. They are Barry M Molten Metal in the colour Copper Mine (£3.99) and Rimmel in Coralicious (2.99), and I also got a Collection base and top coat.

Natural Collection Powder (Translucent)  £2.49

I really needed a powder and they didn't have the Rimmel Stay Matte powder which is what I usually get, so I had to just grab another one, and I felt like the Natural Collection was the safe option. The only thing is that it is a white powder and I prefer the neutral coloured powder.

Dove Dermaspa Summer Revived £7.79

I saw the advert for this and thought it sounded right up my street, a lot of the time I do not get on with fake tans because I hate the smell and I thought maybe this wouldn't have that smell. It is a body lotion as well as a tanner, I'm hoping that this is a purchase that I don't regret.

What purchases you've been making recently?

Blogging Goals

So I wrote these in January, and it is now March. You could say I'm late or missed the boat with the whole "Goals/Blogging Goals of 2018. I just say... *insert some cool comeback that I just can't think of right now.* But I'm here now, taking them from paper to blog and showing them to you.

1. Post more consistently.
This was the first goal that I thought of and the most important one that I wanted to achieve, last year I was very erratic with my posting schedule, and hence why I haven't started posting until now. I wanted to make sure that I had my s*it together (as much as I could possibly have it together) where I knew that I had a few blog post ideas to take me through at least a couple of months. Now I do, so now I'm posting.

2. Update my Blog layout and design.
To put it bluntly, I am not happy with the aesthetics of my blog. I want it to be pretty, clean lines and minimalist. But I just don't feel like my blog is like that. I don't feel like I can customise my blog the way I want it; I don't know whether that's because I'm on Blogspot and don't have my own domain or whether it's simply because I don't have a clue what I'm doing... Anyway, I have tried to update my blog in little ways, I want it to have a complete makeover though. Should I move over to Wordpress? Or buy my own domain? I would love any opinions and suggestions!

3. Purchase my own domain.
I touched on purchasing a domain in my last point, it's something that I would really love to do, to be .com rather than .blogspot.co.uk. At the moment though it is not n option, my financial priorities do not have room for blog domain funds. Maybe later on in the year I hope I can consider it.

4. Improve the quality of my Blog photos and written content.
I see so many blogs that have amazing pictures, and I get so down about the fact that I just can't seem to take the same quality photos, I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the angle, or the light, or maybe that I don't have a really good expensive camera. I am really trying to get better at flatlays etc, it'll just take time though.

5. Be more active on Social Media
So again I can be a bit erratic with my presence on social media, if I think of something to tweet that isn't blog related, I just end up convincing myself that no one really wants to know, I don't need to tweet it, so I don't. I want to get involved with blogger chats again (do they still happen?!) and chat with other bloggers.

Do you have any blogging goals for the year? Have you achieved any yet? I'd love to know!

I love Mother's day, it's a great opportunity to say a big thank you to someone who taught you everything you know now. I've put together a little gift guide to give some inspiration to surprise your mum this Mothering Sunday.

Lush Wishlist | Blogmas Day 3

3 days in and I’ve managed another post, go me! Today is a Lush Wishlist with all the Christmas themed products that I would love to try. Lush is one of the best shops to go in anyway, but at Christmas time I get even more excited about the range of Christmassy items.

Christmas Playlist | Blogmas Day 2

It’s time for Blogmas day 2 with my playlist for Christmas to help get you into the festive mood even more. Listen to them while you’re not watching the Christmas Movies from yesterday’s blog post - 5 Christmas Movies. Or whilst you’re wrapping Christmas gifts you have bought (keep your eyes peeled for my Christmas gift guides coming later on in the week) or just chilling out with family.

5 Christmas Films To Watch | Blogmas Day 1

Happy 1st of December! And a happy first day of Blogmas! I kept it pretty quiet that I was attempting to do Blogmas, I knew I wanted to do it but I wasn't sure whether I would be able to pull it off or not. I mean here I am at 7am typing up this blog post for the FIRST day of Blogmas, it's only the first day and I am already incredibly unorganised, so who knows how this will end up. I am going to stay positive and enjoy it because that's what it's all about, getting into the festive spirit and posting content that you're happy with whether that be every day, every other day or just a few times a week, it's all up to how YOU feel and what you want to do on your blog.

Beauty Advent Calendars - Over £50

On Friday I posted my Beauty Advent Calendars Under £50.00 if you haven't read it yet you can check it out here. Most of the advent calendars on the market are over £50 and I found this post very difficult having to choose just five as there are so many nice ones and I would be happy to have any of them to be honest.
